Move on over you old giants of American Western literature, there is a new author on the block that definitely deserves to stand along side of you. Duane is an excellent wordsmith and he has written several books that I found it hard to put down. This one in particular is fast paced, easy to read with a great plot. It is the second in a series and I am finding it hard to wait for the next one. I would recommend this book to everyone that is an avid reader of western folklore. Take it from me, you will never regret it.Product details

I give this book a one star because all of the book was not in my down loaded book. About one or two chapters of the book were just not there. And as the last chapter are the best chapter in a book I was very disappointed . I called six or seven times, spent seven 0r eight hours or more on the phone because all of the representatives spent one or two hours trying to tell me how to fix it , So I found out that all of the book just wasn't there. So then they told me that they would have the publisher call me do what had to be done so that I could finish my book. So after about three more phone calls and at lest three months I gave up. Maybe some day I will find it and buy it.

Wonderfully written story. Mr. Evans first book was fantastic. This second one was equally enjoyable. The paperback itself was in excellent condition.
I can't wait to read the 3rd!!!
Duane kept the pace up throughout the novel & leaves enough room at the end for 3rd book
I love reading the series of three books. They are so exciting I could not stop reading once starting. I just wanted to keep turning the page every page was exciting. Cherie Bartges
I read the Mimbre Trail after devouring the author's first book, Jacob's Hollow, and Duane Vadron Evans has now jumped to the top of my list of favorite writers. If Johnny Cash, Truman Capote, John Wayne and Nicholas Sparks combined efforts to write a novel, it would surely read much like the work of Evans . . . there would be page after page of lyrical words conjuring rich images that hauntingly capture a place and time; each chapter would be filled with he-man heroes and action brimming with so many unexpected twists, readers would close book covers with sweaty palms and utterly exhausted; but, best of all, sprinkled throughout would be a sensual, toe-curling love between man and woman - Mr. Evans may be considered a Western writer, however, I would argue that he is a Romance writer using his beloved west as a setting.
Sure hope there is another Jacob and Mea-a-ha story on the way . . . thirsty to hear more.
