The underlying theme is communication - the power of good, the consequences of bad, how some people shoot from the hip but others struggle to say what they feel, and how messages get mixed or lost in the process.

Overall a great read and really bought some memories back. Pretty sure the author must have been involved in the pirate radio scene at the time on the margins, but made some quite obvious factual errors. These errors don't detract from the read - only an anorak would spot them! Really clever use old song lyrics interwoven with the storyline. If you are a child of the 80's and remember all the radio pirates of this era, then read this book to take you back to the good old days!
Completely engrossed from the start. Like watching your favourite program with your favourite characters, curled up on your couch, dying for the next episode. I felt so at home with this book, like an old friend stirring up great memories of a great era. Loved it!
What a fantastic book! Helen did a great job of telling a funny, warm and happy story set in 80's Dublin!
